Q1 What are the job opportunities in the Telecom Industry?

Q.2 What is the average salary being offered by various telecom companies?

As per the statistics, a postgraduate telecom professional presently gets an average salary of more than 3.50 lacs per year. This means that in less than a years time the students would recover their investments at AST. Presently the Aegis School of Telecommucation is offering the following programmes:

 (1) Full Time MPTM (Masters Program in Telecom Management) -One year, 120 credit Unit program on the lines of MSTM offered by Oklahoma Sate University (OSU), US. This equips the students with knowledge of Telecom, IT and Management, to make them competent for the role of managers in the fast growing telecom and IT sector. All graduates who have a dream to make their mark in the telecom industry are invited.

(2) Part Time MPTM (Masters Program in Telecom Management) -Aegis is first in the country to offer Part Time course in Telecom Management. Course duration is 18 months,120 credit units program. This is weekend classroom course suitable for working executive, who wants to move ahead in the field of telecom by upgrading their knowledge and acquiring the necessary skills.

(3) Short Term Courses: Short-term programs are targeted to Telecom companies; Aegis has tied up with Tonex Inc. US, Eagle Photonics as training partners and IPS Academy, which gives access to Cisco Network Academy for Corporate Training. These programs are suitable for working executives who can not join long term programs and at the same time wants to upgrade their knowledge and professional skills to avoid obsolesce in this dynamic technology world. These programs vary from min two days to seven days. These programs are bridge the gap tools for fresh out going college students aspire to join telecom world on entry level.

Q.6 How MPTM is different from other courses like M.Tech., etc.?

MPTM students develop broad knowledge in business, technical, and communication disciplines as well as a depth of knowledge in specific elective areas chosen to best fit their career aspirations.Master Program in Telecommunication Management (MPTM) is specifically designed to provide future telecommunication leaders who can manage telecommunication projects efficiently. Aegis School of Telecommunication has a few limited scholarships available to the most outstanding and talented candidates. These scholarships are offered by corporate and depends upon the willingness and availability of funds with the corporate. Students are strongly advised to arrange for their own finance. However we do intend to provide the students all possible help and assistance in the loan applications.

Aegis Scholarship

Three Aegis Scholar Aegis Scholarship is an approach to reward the best brain and is of paramount importance for a student. These scholarships are highly competitive and prestigious. For a scholarship, the main criterion is strong academic background and research potential, which will be assessed through interview, past academic records and performance in I and II terms. Amount of Scholarship: Two scholarships of Rs.50,000/- each One scholarship of Rs.20,000/- .

Q10. Where would the classes be conducted and what kind of infrastructural facilities are available to the students?

Indore campus: Aegis has signed MoU with Indore Public School Academy, (IPS) one of the foremost B-schools in Central India, where by the classes would be conducted at IPS Academy campus in Rajendra Nagar, about 15 Kms from Indore city .To ensure the overall development of students the Aegis School of Telecom provides a number of in-campus facilities to the students. The campus has modern swimming pool, tennis court, Cricket ground Horse Riding, Table Tennis etc. where students can play games and get energized. The school provides best lodging/accommodation facilities for outside students. It is has a centrally located hostel in a serene atmosphere. It is equipped with all basic amenities such as food, cyber caf�, gymnasium, indoor games, communication facilities, conveyance etc. It has an easy access to all-important public places like shopping centers, restaurants, cinema etc. Also transport facilities are easily available which help you access any part of the city. Q.12. What is Aegis Personal Learning and Training System (APTLS).

The unique application called Aegis Personal Learning and Training System (APTLS) lets you download the required material on your personal computer. You can appear for sample test to check your understanding of the subject. Once confidant of your ability you can then appear for final exams. Corporate can also get the progress reports of the employees. This system is very secure; it verifies the personal identity of candidates� appearing for final exams through Image verification and transmits the photographs to the administration side even at low net speed. After candidate's identity verification final official score will be reported. With such applications, while ensuring that the quality of training is not compromised, we intend to provide ease and freedom to the participants so that they may choose their own dates, time periods, etc and appear for the exams. To provide our students with the best facilities we have the unique concept of digital library, it must be remembered that such a digital library is present only in Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Banglore that has been declared as Center of Excellence by the Government of India.

Q.13 What is the procedure for selction to MPTM course?

The entire Admission process consists of 2 Stages:

Stage 2 - Appear for the Interview (Essential) and G4 Aegis ATA (Aptitude Test for Admission) [Conditional, in case the Interview Committe recommends]

Stage-2. Appear for the Interview (Essential) and G4 Aegis ATA

The candidates are required to present themselves along with their testimonials for the Interview. On basis of this Interview, the candidate may be required to appear for G4 Aegis ATA on recommendation of the Admission Committe.
G4 Aegis ATA is computer based test of 60 min. This test has multiple choice questions on various topics such as-verbal ability, general knowledge, mathematics, English, General Science, Logical and Analytical reasoning and some IT and Telecom related basic questions.

On the basis of Academic Record andperformance in the Interview, the student will be selected for the Course.
